STATEMENT
My art is a record of a certain place and time and the feelings and energies around me in that moment. Everyone remembers their first concert. I specifically remember the feeling of the intense energy that is all around you when your in a crowd sharing that space. It is that feeling and energy that I try to reproduce and represent in my live paintings. I am also interested in what could be called the "second color" to objects, or the color I can see or feel that is not the accepted academic color. By harnessing the energy released from a crowd of people I am able to produce a fingerprint of that night and that moment. My reality may not be like anyone else, but there is never a way to tell for sure. I want my art to reflect that alternate reality I see and live in.
